Mike Moffat, 19, joins his older brother, Chris, at the Salt Lake City Games. Mike Moffat spent the first seven years of his career concentrating on singles (1991-1997). In 1998, he was partnered with current teammate Grant Albrecht. They had immediate success, finishing on the podium in all but one junior World Cup event during the 1998-99 season. Moffat, still competing as a single as well, also reached the podium in every junior event. By the next two seasons, the pair were enjoying consistent World Cup results, and qualified for the Olympics with a ninth-place finish at a race in Igls, Austria in early January of 2001.
