Hayley Wickenheiser, 23, knows about the Olympic experience. The forward from Shaunavon, Sask., won a silver medal with the national team at the 1998 Nagano Olympics. But her knowledge doesn't end there. Wickenheiser was a member of Canada's national softball team that participated in 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
She's best known for her hockey exploits. Wickenheiser, an assistant captain in Salt Lake City, has played in four world championships (1994, 1997, 1999, 2000), winning a gold medal each time. She was also named to the 2001 world championship team but was unable to play due to injury. Wickenheiser is the Canadian national team's all-time leading scorer. Named one of Canada's top-three players at the 2000 world championships and a 1999 world championship all-star, Wickenheiser, attended the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers rookie camp in 1998 and 1999.
