Isabelle Chartrand, 23, made her international debut with the Canadian team at the 2001 world championships. The defenceman from Anjou, Que., was an alternate on the 1999 world championship team. She won a gold medal with Équipe Québec at 1999 Esso Women's National Women's Championship and a silver medal in 2000.

Chartrand is a steady two-way player who can contribute offensively while remaining a force on the blueline.
