Therese Brisson, 35, has anchored Canada's blueline for the last several years, hauling in five world championship gold medals to go along with a silver Olympic medal from Nagano. She has acted as the captain of the Canadian team in the last three world championships.

A defenceman from Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Que., Brisson won gold medals at the 3 Nations Cup in 1999, 1998 and 1996, and a silver medal in 1997. She's a steady defenceman with the ability to contribute offensively.
