Stéphane Rochon, 27, of St-Sauveur, Que., is a long-time member of the national team. During the 1996-1997 World Cup season, Rochon failed to win an event but still finished second in the overall season. At the 1997 world championships, he won a silver medal, finishing behind teammate Jean-Luc Brassard.
At the 1998 Nagano Olympics, he placed eighth in the moguls, and was one of three Canadians to finish in the top eight.
A year later, he was the top Canadian at the world championships with a fourth-place result in both the single and dual moguls event.
Last year, he won a bronze medal at the world championships.
