Andy Capicik, 28, of Toronto finished the 2000-01 World Cup season ranked fourth in the world in aerials. That feat is made more impressive by the fact that Capicik missed the entire 1999-2000 campaign after breaking his arm during training.
A two-time Olympian, Capicik enjoyed his best season in 1997-98, finished second in the World Cup standings behind teammate Nicolas Fontaine.
He rocketed onto the scene in 1993, winning a World Cup event at Blackcomb, B.C., at the age of 19. The next year, he finished fourth at the Olympics in Lillehammer.
His wife, Tami Bradley, will compete in the moguls at Salt Lake City.
