Jean-Luc Brassard, 28, of Valleyfield, Que., has recovered from a career-threatening knee injury he suffered at the 2000 World Cup freestyle finals in Livigno, Italy, and hopes to make the medal podium in Salt Lake City. He narrowly missed the bronze at the 1998 Nagano Games, but took the gold four years previous in Lillehammer. He's also a consistent performer in the both the moguls World Championships and World Cup.
Brassard missed the entire 2000-2001 season with a career-threatening knee injury. He recovered, and is eager for success in his tenth competitive year. He joined the Canadian national team at age 17 and won his first World Cup event at 18.
