Known as "Air Canada," David Anderson, 22, broke through on the world ski scene at an opportune time. Anderson of Rossland, B.C., finished 10th in the downhill combined and 10th in the slalom combined events at the 2001 world championships in St. Anton, Austria. The top-10 results clinched his first Olympic berth.

A member of the national team since 1997, Anderson has enjoyed a strong season thus far on the Europa Cup circuit.
