Messages to the Canadian Troops

I am the mother of three grown children. One of them is a son, 29 years old. He has already stated that if things escalate any more, he intends on enlisting. As a mother I breathed a sigh of relief when I learned he was beyond the normal age for drafting (he is a U.S. citizen). He pretty much blew that peace out of the water. But nothing in life is black and white. I will accept any decision he makes. I offer you the same acceptance. If you're scared, well, that sounds pretty normal to me. If you're angry, well, that too sounds like an expected response. If you're both, I would like to pray for you as you sort out this world we live in. If I had any gift for you, it would be the gift of faith in a higher power who can take over where our human limitations stop.
Beth Franklin, Nova Scotia

Thank you for your sacrifice, and thank you for serving our country.
A.D. Minor

Be tough - you are fighting for a greater good.
Dana, Australia

Best of luck to you all as you sail into the Persian Gulf. A special wish for Kelly aboard HMCS Vancouver. We are proud of you.
Helen Searle, Halifax

It is absolutely necessary to ensure that Canada, the free world and future generations can live in security and enjoy the basic freedoms we take for granted every day of our lives.
Mike Moody

Je vous souhaite la meilleur des chances. Bon courage et au plaisir de vous revoir à la célébration de votre retour.
Marilissa

I'm lucky to be Canadian. I'm proud that you're defending our country and trying to save others. Thank you for helping us keep our country safe and thank you so much for our freedom.
Nathan Drydak (age 10)

The absolute correctness of your cause is not in doubt for a moment.
Don Wendling

I hope all of you will return to Canada and be reunited with your loved ones. You are in everyone's thoughts.
Shelby McMurchy, Taiwan

Thank you for committing yourself to preserving the safety and sanctity of our country. Thank you for consenting to protecting my family and friends.
Sean McDermott

Thank you for being the best you can be.
Cheryl D.

Thank you. Keep safe. I pray you'll be home soon.
Laurie Rogers

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you answer the call to make this a safer world, my deep gratitude to your families for the sacrifices they are making for us.
Norma Wood, North Bay, Ont.

We love you guys!
Val Walker

I wouldn't want to be a snake or a fox with the Canadian grizzly on the way.
Philip, Germany

Here in Vienna, we are all the way behind you. God bless you and your work.
Tony Rehberger, Vienna

We are very proud of you. Anne and Dan

You are the ones making a true difference for all people involved in this horrible war, I just hope it is over sooner than later, especially so all of you can return to your homes, families and loved ones.
Sarah Stephens, Montreal

I thank God for men and women of courage and strength like yours in defending our freedom.
Sharon

Take care and may you return to your loved ones soon.
Eleanor P. Gatzke

As I sit here cruising the Net and reading fellow Canadians' messages to you brave heroes, a tear comes to my eye. I am so proud to be a Canadian
Joanne Ferrato

You are very courageous. God bless.
Greg Lockert, Winnipeg

Don't worry about things. It will be okay.
Matthew McGill

We are confident in your ability to make a difference. We send special wishes to our nephew, Sean, on board The Charlottetown. Think about you often, Sean. Hope all is well. Keep smiling.
Uncle Bill and Aunt Nell
