  1. Graham Magus from Toronto, Canada writes: Jays have decided to pour some sugar into the gas-tank of their own bandwagon. I'll still pay attention regardless but if they lose tomorrow, expect an exodus of hope and excitement from the fringe fans the Jays had began to attract again.

    Ortiz finally breaking out at the plate (2 for 5 with the all important HR.)

    Appears that Francona was completely correct about it just being a matter of time and patience for Big Papi...

    A quality start by the BoSox's fifth pitcher in the rotation, Brad Penny, who carried a shutout into the seventh inning in this one...

    4 BoSox Home runs, tying a franchise record, in the bottom of the 5th.

    Okajima quickly snuffing out a bit of a Jays' rally in the 8th...

    Blue Jay batters had lots of hits but manufactured only a few runs...

    If there is a positive for the Blue Jays in any of this for tomorrow's game, it might be that Jon Lester has had a couple of rough outings lately...

    It's like they've got a mental block or something. I'm not saying they can't do it, and I'm not saying they won't do it. I'm just saying that they're not REALLY contenders until they do.

    And as if losing weren't bad enough, we also have to listen to how the Jays helped some snot bubble break his batting slump.

    It looks like the Jays' pitching isn't quite up to the challenge of the big hitting teams. And for some reason their hitting - which looked strong early this season - is drying up. Bad combo.

    I would expect they'll do better once some of their regular pitchers come back, but if they don't get the hits back they're going to drop in the standings fast.

    We'll see what happens tomorrow.

    And what's with all the fly balls lately? A couple weeks back the Jays were hitting all sorts of liners to the corners...

    That's why that crazy Canuck is loved by all BoSox fans...

    Should be another great game tomorrow night...

    The Jays were hitting tonight -- just not at clutch times, apparently...

    We'll have to see which Jon Lester shows up to pitch at Fenway tomorrow...

We are facing one of the best teams in the league with pitcher who has only played in a handful of major league games, and who isn't even a part of our (already depleted) rotation. If you are really so disappointed with this loss then please go ahead and jump off the bandwagon - we don't want you anyway. Last time I checked, we are still the BEST TEAM IN THE AL.

Alan Hala from Jackson's Point, ON, Canada writes: Now matter how good Cecil looked in his first three starts, you don't arrive in the Majors with an 8 AAA ERA and expect to go into Fenway and not get hit around. The return of Youkilis kick-started Ortiz who is only as good as the guy that hits in front of him. Let's hope Bobby Ray can pitch with a lead and hold it.

    Also, never thought I'd say this but can't wait for Sportsnet to come back this weekend. I'd take Jamie Campbell over Dennis Eckersley any day of the week.
