  1. A Smith from Toronto, Canada writes: I went to Eastern Promises with 4 other people, ranging in age between 18 and 75 years old, and we all gave it our top rating. Saw 12 carefully selected films and this was by far the best. Congrats to Cronenberg, a wonderful Canadian talent, and also to Viggo Mortenson for putting in an amazing, and almost unexpectedly resonant performance.
  2. Let's Be Prudent from Toronto, Canada writes: In this world there is so much that is negative.

The TIFF represents a situation where people from many countries come together and many different stories are told on celluloid and in interviews.

I take my hat off to the people who started the 'Festival of Festivals' in 1975; it has grown to being a great interchange of ideas and a forum for emerging directors, talent and their works.

We have problems in this world, but at least at the TIFF people try to communicate. As the jailer said in 'Cool Hand Luke', problems and disputes are because 'what we have here is a failure to communicate'.
  3. Wasabi Jones from Canada writes: After a louse movie summer filled with crap sequal flicks, I'm really looking forward to seeing this one.
