COURTNEY, Margaret Clelland
The family of Margaret Clelland Courtney would like to announce the peaceful passing of Margaret in her 103rd year at Cawthra Gardens, Mississauga, Ontario, on Friday, February 22, 2013. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Hugh (Tait) Courtney, her eldest son, Hugh Jr., and her son-in-law, Peter Killaby. She will be missed by her daughter, Catherine Killaby (Courtney) and her son, Wm. Donaldson Courtney and wife, Dawna, her six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was interned beside her husband in Springcreek Cemetery, Clarkson, Ontario, near her childhood home. Margaret will also be sadly missed by her devoted niece and nephews, Nancy Handyside, Gordon Handyside and Dave Weaver, and also by her many wonderful friends at Credit Valley Golf Club. The family would expressly like to thank the Rev. Andrew Human of St. Andrews Church, Ms. Heather Clarke of Skinner and Middlebrook Funeral Home for their dedication and assistance. A special gratitude to Ms. Ursula Dindler and the nursing staff at Cawthra Gardens who were so wonderfully kind and caring for Margaret for the past 10 years. Their prayers and gentle singing made her passing to her new life so peaceful - we are certain that God has a special place in heaven for these angels. Of course, most of her friends have predeceased her so we are certain by now they have their golf games organized and the cards have been dealt for their next poker game. May we all be so fortunate to have such a long and rewarding life as our Margaret.
