McMURCHY, John

On February 2nd, 2013. John was born in Brampton, Ontario, on August 31, 1933, son of the late Major and Mrs. Clive McMurchy. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College, University of Toronto, and was called to the bar as Solicitor and Bachelor of Laws. John was a lawyer with the Legal Department of the Township of North York and later with the Legal Branch of the Provincial Ministry of Agriculture and Food. He was also in a private practice. He will be sadly missed by his wife Una and two daughters, Gillian (Hewlett) and Jennifer (Tucker) and four grandsons, Derek, Colin, William and Jonathan as well by his step-brother Ken Ewens and his family. A private family service was held at the Elgin Mills Cemetery on February 8th.
