Sheila Ann Redston ''Shally'' Mahood Sheila Mahood passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, in her 82nd year after a sudden illness. She was born in Drummondville, Quebec, and was a 1955 graduate of the KGH School of Nursing and a lifelong supporter of the KGH Auxiliary. Predeceased by her parents John and Grace Redston, her brother John and sister-in-law Margaret. Lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Dr. James Mahood. She is survived by her children: Katherine (Michael) of Vancouver, William (Maria) of Toronto, Marcia (Neb) of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and Robert (Susan) of Calgary; as well as her brother Peter (Mary) of Inverness, Florida, and her sister Marcia Barr (Michael) of Santa Fe, New Mexico. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Alex, Michael and Robert; her step-grandchildren, Jesse and Justin; and by her close, extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of dear friends. The family would like to thank the staff of KGH for their compassionate care and attention. Friends are invited to visit at the Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Home (www.reidfuneralhome.com), 309 Johnson Street, Kingston, Ontario, on Monday, February 18th, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service celebrating Shally's full life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. Cremation and interment at Cataraqui Cemetery will be attended privately by the family. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Kingston General Hospital Auxiliary.
