Was born and educated in London Ontario. At South Collegiate and the University of Western Ontario, she was an outstanding student and athlete. Winner of the Athletic Honour Award at South in 1951-52 and the gold medal in Honours Psychology in 1956 at Western, Barbara was No.1 singles player on the UWO tennis team as well as a member of the women's basketball and volleyball teams. She married her high school beau, Jack, in 1957 at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston. Subsequently, Barbara travelled and lived in United States, England, Australia and New Zealand. She loved her children Mark, Drew and Kim and their partners Sandra, Trudy and Duncan and her grandchildren Olivia, Jake and Hannah, as well as her sister Nora and family. She also loved art, animals, books and people and was a talented artist. Those who wish to memorialize Barbara are encouraged to donate to a charity of their choice.
