MURDOCK, Bernice Evelyn
Age 86, passed away peacefully October 4, 2012 in West Vancouver, BC. Bernice, who was pre-deceased by Jim, her husband of 57 years, will be deeply missed by her 4 children: Wendy, of New York City, NY, Dean of Briarcliff Manor, NY, Donald, of Westmount, Quebec and Anne, of West Vancouver, BC and by her 9 grandchildren. Bernice was an inspiration to her family and friends with her energetic pursuit of a wide range of interests and activities. She was an accomplished seamstress, gardener, cook and tennis player who enjoyed sharing these talents and interests with everyone around her. Bernice was born in 1926 in Elnora, Alberta and soon moved to Verdun, Quebec where she graduated from Verdun High School in 1943. After graduation, Bernice obtained her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from McGill University and worked for several years as a lab technician with Ciba Geigy before leaving to raise her family. Later in life, Bernice returned to work as a high school teacher. Bernice's family is planning a memorial for her at a later date and will contact family members and friends with the details.
