Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends, on Sunday, February 3, 2013, in her 96th year. Dearly loved and cherished wife and sweetheart of the late Kenneth Malcolmson for 62 years. Much loved and devoted mother of Bob (Pat), and Paul (Joan). Proud grandmother of Stuart (Kim), Kelly, Janet and Kenny. Great- grandmother of Charlotte and Sasha. Predeceased by her parents Hazel and William Mearns. Dorothy loved to entertain, cook, decorate and travel with Ken. She made their house into a home and her main joy was being with her family. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Special thanks to her extraordinary caregivers, Donna Quance, Hanna Haliuk, Joan Clattenburg and Louise Devoe, for their many years of dedication and friendship. Dorothy's family is grateful as well to Dr. Louie Mavrogiannis and Dr. Arnold Smith for their attentive and compassionate care. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter 'Yorke' Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto (at Windermere Ave., east of Jane subway) for a visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Giles Kingsway Presbyterian Church, 15 Lambeth Rd., Toronto, on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
