JENKINS, Dr. Maya
Of Toronto passed away peacefully on January 3, 2013 in her 88th year in the company of her loving husband Jack to whom she was married for 62 years. Maya is also survived by her son Peter, daughter-in-law Tiina, and two grandchildren, Natalie and Stephen. Dr. Jenkins taught at the University of London, University of Toronto and York University for over 30 years, and conveyed to her students her great passion for Russian literature and language. Her boundless enthusiasm, joie de vivre and sense of style, as well as her love and kindness, will be extremely missed. In her fond memory, donations can be made to Amnesty International.
