TELFORD, Dorothy Albertha
On Thursday, January 10, 2013, in her 91st year, Dorothy Telford, predeceased by her husband, Murray McCallum Telford in 1990. Dorothy was also predeceased by her sisters Elsa, Alice, Tommye and Pearl, as well as sisters and brothers- in-law. Dorothy leaves to remember and honour her, her loving son James of Sauble Beach, her daughter Christy Telford and partner Jim Biggin of Owen Sound, her grandchildren Jennifer Telford and J.P. Telford both of Barrie, Zach Telford of Hepworth and Stacey Charlton of Hepworth. Dorothy will always be remembered by her 'boys' - her great-grandsons: Nowqua, Washkesh, Neebin and Neebeesh Elliott of Barrie and Zachary and Harlee Telford of Hepworth. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews as well. Dorothy had a great many friends and touched the lives of all she knew. For many years Dorothy was a powerhouse in the Real Estate business in the Bruce Peninsula working as a Broker and Appraiser. She retired at the age of 85 years, after helping to complete the start of what is now Cobble Beach. Dorothy also worked tirelessly on Community projects including the Community Foundation. At Dorothy's request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. Donations may be made in Dorothy's name either to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Tom Thomson Art Gallery Acquisition Fund through Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services 1-877-991-9995.
