HARE, William Frederick Joseph
Died peacefully on Monday, January 14, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, age 82. Graduated B.A. Physics (Gold Medalist), Ph.D. 1955 from the University of Toronto. Cherished husband for nearly 60 years of Marion Jean (nee Rowe). Their life was a wonderful adventure in the Netherlands, Toronto, New Jersey, California, Haliburton, and Waterloo. With sure confidence and a whole store of old jokes he guided and honoured his four children, Tom (Jill), Dave (Kathryn), Sharon (Henk) Holzscherer and Janice (Craig) Holzscherer, and his numerous grandchildren, Justin (Ashley), Ben, Thane, Laura, Joe, Breanna, Cliff, Khoral, Derek, Jason, Erin, Rose, and Grace. Also survived by brother Douglas (Jannis) Hare and sister Diane Carter and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 4:00 to 5:30 in the Conference Room at Luther Village in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Bill's memory to the University of Toronto Physics department.
