Noble, Dr. Allan James
Passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Country Home Care Stouffville at the age of 83. Allan was predeceased by his wife Kay (Bartlett) and his daughter Shelley. Dear father to son Rick and his wife Kim and to daughter Kimberley. Proud grandfather to Katie, Kevin, Addison and Sydney. Allan graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1954; was a general practicioner in Uxbridge, ON for two years before deciding to specialize in Pathology. He trained at Toronto East General Hospital for 5 years before becoming Chief Pathologist at Scarborough Centenary Hospital from its opening in 1967 until his retirement in 1993. Allan belonged to the Rotary Club of North Scarborough for a number of years. He was past president and Paul Harris Fellow. He was an avid skier, golfer, and cottager. Allan is resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home Uxbridge, 23 Main St. South (905)852-3073. Visiting on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Monday at 2pm. Interment Uxbridge Cemetery. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to your charity of choice would be much appreciated.
