Theodore Peter (Ted) Karry
Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, on Wednesday January 9th, 2013, Mr. Theodore Peter (Ted) Karry of Chatham. He is remembered with love and admiration by his family; wife Betty Jean, his sister Win, and his children Kim (Daniel), Todd (Sharon), and Jeff (Laurel), as well as his grandchildren Christopher, Kevin, and Lexi. We shall miss his gentle good nature, his enduring humour as well as his determination and optimism. Following graduation from University of Western Ontario in 1949, he joined the Editorial Staff of the Chatham News and in 1954 began a 30 year career with Union Gas. Ted filled his life with great friends and varied interests, music, scuba diving, wood-working and sketching. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Zeke Milkovic as well as the special people at St. Andrew's Residence for the years of excellent care and support. Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710, on Sunday January 13th visiting from 2 to 5 p.m. A private family funeral service was held with Rev. Jim Brown of Victoria Ave. United Church officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment to take place at a later date. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider St. Andrew's Residence Foundation or the Salvation Army. On-line condolences may be left at www.alexanderfuneralhome.ca
