1915 to 2013
Ada passed away gracefully, surrounded by her loving family in Magog, Québec, on January 10, 2013 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her much loved husbands, Melvyn G. Angus and Frederick B. Hout and by her beloved daughter Gillian Margaret. Ada will be sadly missed by her devoted surviving children, David (Louise Hébert) and Elizabeth -''Bizzy''-(Michel E. Côté). She was the daughter of James and Lillie Hutchison of Montréal and is survived by her dear sister Frances Jarvis, with whom as a teenager she attended St. Leonard's School in St. Andrew's, Scotland. Ada was the cherished ''Ama'' of Jacqueline, Gregor (Juliet), Cynthia (Steve), Christopher (Kristin), Caroline (Peter), Nicolas, Philip (Dallas) and Stephanie, as well as of her ten adoring great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Ada's devoted personal caregivers in Magog, Québec - Anna, Sherry, Jennifer, Rachel and Gaétane - and in Vero Beach, Florida - Jackie, Dorothy and Mariana - for their unfailing, loving and compassionate care and support during her final years. As well, special thanks to Ada's loyal Magog gardener and property manager, Brent Catchpaw.A funeral service to celebrate Ada's life will be held at the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, Montréal, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, the 17th of January, 2013. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service.In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by way of donations to the Montreal General Hospital Foundation, 1650 Cedar Ave., Room E6-129, Montréal, Québec H3G 1A4.
