Margaret Isobel McLean (nee Bambridge)
1919 - 2012
Born in Toronto on April 18, 1919, Margaret died peacefully on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at North York General Hospital. Daughter of the late Marguerita Letitia Logan Selby and Roy Bambridge and loving spouse of the late Reginald (Mac) McLean. Mother of Ian, Larry, Robin and Brian McLean and step-mother of Gerald. Margaret is the loving grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Bambridge. Predeceased by her sister Betty Hyde, brother Bill Bambridge and step-children Gaynor and Gordon McLean. In addition to being a wife and mother, Margaret worked as a legal secretary, a writer and as a communications officer for the York Region and Peel School Boards. She had a long full life and leaves many memories behind for her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Carefree Lodge for the care they have given to Margaret for the last year and a half. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. At the request of the family, donations in Margaret's memory may be made to Carefree Lodge, 306 Finch Avenue East, North York M2N 4S5 or a charity of your choice.
