Passed away on December 23rd, after a bravely fought battle with cancer. He will be so sadly missed by his wife Sharon (Oake), daughter Allison, brother Spencer, cousins, brother and sister in laws, family and friends. Geoff was a dedicated father, husband, and uncle to nephew Ryan. A true entrepreneur, his work ethic and commitment to developing his staff was foundational to building two successful businesses. Most recently he was the President and co-Chair of Kelron Logistics Inc. Born twenty years ago out of what Geoff and his partner then saw as a niche in the market, they grew Kelron from a business that was initially operated out of the basement of Geoff's home, to a North American operation with offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Chicago and Cleveland, until its recent sale. Geoff was very active in the transportation industry and he proudly served as a committee member of the TIA, and Chair of the NTBA. While work was important to him, he was never far from a game of squash or tennis with his friends and team mates at The Oakville Club, or hockey with the Mississauga Oldtimers. An avid skier, golf was a work in progress, but he played a mean game of ping pong. Geoffrey was the son of (Olive) Pamela Spencer-Phillips and Fredrick John Bennett. Friends are welcome to visit at the Ward Funeral Home in Oakville, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Friday January 4th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A private service will take place. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to a charity of your choice. Please visit the Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com.
