MA, Li Ping (Mindy)
Passed away peacefully on December 26, 2012 at Princess Margaret Hospital following a valiant battle with lung cancer at the age of 46. Li Ping will be lovingly remembered by her spouse Dean Vella, by her daughter Tianna Liu and by Tianna's father, Wenbiao Liu. She will also be missed by her close friends from the Toronto Outdoor Club and her colleagues at Scotiabank. Li achieved great success in two vastly different fields in two countries and was a Vice President at Scotiabank. Li embodied the true spirit of adventure. She burned with a desire to see the world, travelled to 6 of the 7 continents and climbed 4 of the 7 summits. Throughout all this she was a loving mother, wife and daughter and touched everyone she met. A private family funeral was held as per Li's wishes. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, directed to lung cancer research.
