It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father on December 27, 2012 at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Nellie Romanovich. Cherished dad to Lorraine (Tiff) and Larry (Colleen). He was loved and fondly known as 'Gigi' by grandchildren Tiff Joseph (Lesa), Michelle (Doug), Ginelle (Jason), Ann Marie (Edward), John (Julie), Joanne and the late Joey. Gigi will also be missed by his great- grandchildren Austin, Jake, Natalie, Luke, Gracee, Audrey, Ashley, Emily Grace, Lindsey and Caitlin. Proud uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Anna, father Adam and his sisters Olga, Jean, Stella, Marie and Carolyn. Born April 12, 1917 in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he worked before moving to Toronto with his wife Nellie. He founded the Yellow Jacket Welding Company and Dymeco Industries of Canada. Joseph was also known for his support of youth sports including several lacrosse teams in North York. Joe will be remembered for his great love of family and passion for life. Friends may call on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 4th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Passionist Parish (670 Sheppard Avenue East). Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
