McFARLAND, William Adoue

87, peacefully at the Bentley Care Home, Stratford-upon-Avon, England, 19th December. Beloved husband of Patricia, father of Paul, Charles and Cecil (deceased), step-father (of Timothy and James Gallagher) and grandfather (of William and Thomas). Loving son of George Franklin and Pauline Adoue McFarland, Bill was born in Toronto 4th March 1925, was educated at Upper Canada College, served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and took his B.A. at Trinity College in the University of Toronto. In 1950 he emigrated to England, where he became Senior Partner in the firm of GPB Solicitors LLP, Stratford-upon- Avon, for many decades. He also served as a Deputy District Judge. Private cremation 4th January 2013, followed by memorial service at 3 pm at Holy Trinity Church, Stratford- upon-Avon. No flowers please; donations welcome to the Shakespeare Hospice, c/o A.E.
