James Douglas Little

With great sadness, the family of Doug Little announces his peaceful passing at home on Dec. 2, 2012.
Beloved husband of ''Jeanie'' (nee Campbell) for 62 years. Lovingly remembered by his daughters Ann Little (Paul Read), Deb Treadgold (Tom), Janet Mathisen (Chris) Joan Nichol, and his 9 grandchildren. Doug was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers Roy and Harry Little. Doug was a proud WWII Army veteran and Professional Mining Engineer. After graduating from UBC in May 1950, he went on to have a long and distinguished career in the Mining Industry. The family would like to thank all the caring, capable caregivers that supported Doug to stay in his home. We would particularly like to acknowledge Darna, Liza, and Jacquie. A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club on January 12, 2013 from 11am to 3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Salvation Army.
