SLESS, Brian David
Brian passed away at the age of 53 on Friday, December 7th, 2012, at Sunnybrook Hospital, surrounded by his family, following a valiant fight with leukemia. He will be forever missed by his beloved wife, Cindy, his adored children, Mallory and Trevor, and his loving parents, Gerda Sless and the late Phil Sless. We love you forever and ever. Brian is sorely missed by his brother Colin (Julie) and their son Ryan; brother Alan (Barbara) and their sons Harrison and Oliver; and sister Maureen (Kelvin Britton). Brian is also mourned by his siblings-by-choice: Monica Parker (Gilles Savard) and son Remy; Danny Schlesinger (Linda Tatoff) and daughter Mirelle; and Marty Cummings (Cathy) and children Gillian, Russell, and Corey. His extended family, friends, and colleagues will miss him too. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Sunnybrook Hospital for their excellent care and great kindness. A celebration of Brian's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15th at 3800 Yonge Street (south of York Mills), in the Valley Lounge on the 3rd Floor. Family, friends, and colleagues are also invited to visit at Brian's home during the hours of 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 13th and Friday, December 14th. Shiva will be observed at 87 Sutherland Drive at 7:30 a.m. from Monday, December 10th through Friday, December 14th. If desired, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation.
