At Sunnybrook Hospital on Wednesday, December 5th at the age of 84. Dear son of the late Eli and Bella Herman. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Bot). Devoted father to Susan Herman Ross and Darlene Herman-Illouz and father-in-law to Nathan Ross. Cherished grandfather/pappy to Yisrael, Rachel, Aviva and David. Predeceased by his beloved great- granddaughter, Healey Illouz and her mother Tali Cohen. Dear brother to the late Norman, Bernie, Sydney, Victor and Reg. A squash and tennis enthusiast, Irv won many squash and tennis tournaments over his lifetime. His tennis club, The Toronto Lawn Tennis Club, was his home away from home. Irving was an inspiring example of cheerfulness and patience. Always thinking well of others, he never had a bad word to say about anyone. He had a wonderful sense of humour and wit right up until his final days. He will be sorely missed. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 7th at 9:00 am at Benjamins Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West. Shiva to be observed at 123 Eglinton Ave. E., Unit 405, Toronto. Entry to visitors parking garage is off Redpath. Memorial donations may be made to Sunnybrook Hospital.
