MacKEEN, Rolf Ward
July 31, 1925 - November 26, 2012 Born on the kitchen table in Montreal West, Quebec.Active hockey player in the 40's at the semi pro level. Joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1944. Trained as a fighter pilot. Left RCAF in 1945 to become a stockbroker and bond-trader until 1981. Curled at Montreal West Curling Club, golfed at Beaconsfield Golf Club and Avid fisherman and love of his home at Lac Superieur, Quebec. Rotarian, Past-President Montreal Westward Rotary Club. Paul Harris Fellow. Honorary Past-President International Curling Fellowship of Rotarians.
Pre-deceased by first wife Elizabeth E. (Gallagher) MacKeen in 1990. Married 43 years. Survived by his wife Sheila (Thomson Runciman) MacKeen of 20 years. Six children (Bruce, Douglas, Gary, Bill, Bob and Judi and their spouses). 11 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will take place at on November 30, 2012 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Montreal West Presbyterian Church, 160 Ballantyne North, Montreal West, followed by a service at 11:30am.
