STEPHENSON (née Joanisse), Claire Régina
(1947-2012). Passed away on Saturday November 24 at the age of 65. Daughter of the late Florestine Bazinet and the late Henri Joanisse of Vanier, survived by her husband Micheal (New Waterford, NS), her children Éric (Reid van Melle), Nicholas (Susan Perrigo) and Sophie, as well as her grandson Théo. She will be missed by her sisters and brothers Huguette (Lionel Caris), Madeleine (James Nadon), Lise, Marthe, Adèle (Bruce Shuh), Marie (Andrew Blackmore), Pierre (Arlette Gendron), Michel (Ann Gingras), Gaston and Richard as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Claire was predeceased by her brother, Jean-Paul. During her lifetime Claire lived in Montréal, Thunder Bay, Pickering, Barrie, Guelph and Kingston, before returning to her birthplace Ottawa. Everyone that came into contact with her was struck by her spirit, her generosity and her laughter. Claire will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home 180 Montreal Rd, Ottawa (613-241-3680) on Friday November 30th, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday December 1st, at Beechwood Cemetery Chapel (280 Beechwood avenue) at 2 p.m. Donations can be made to Groupe Médias TFO (http://tfo.org/clubtfo/).
