RUSKELL, The Reverend George Arnold
Suddenly on Wednesday, November 21 in Goderich in his 94th year, fifth son of the late C. V. and Daisy Ruskell of Templerainey House, Arklow, County Wicklow. He is survived by Sheila, his devoted wife of 60 years; his sister, Doreen; his loving daughters Vanessa, Jill (Andrew) and Moira (Arthur), and by his grandchildren Malcolm and Cynthia Smith, Matthew, Nicholas and Dylan Studley. Arnold was educated in Ireland at St. Andrew's, Portora and Trinity College Dublin, where he became a Knight of the Campanile, Captain of Athletics and winner of an Irish title as a quarter miler. Following two curacies, he came to Canada, where he spent five years in the Diocese of the Arctic. He served in parishes in Toronto, Petrolia, Windsor and Vancouver and as chaplain at The Bishop Strachan School. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 28 at 2:30 p.m. at St. George's Church, Goderich. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be much appreciated.
