DALE, Evelyn Frances
In her 95th year. Predeceased by her parents Eva F. Maley (formerly Dale) and Stanley Dale as well as her step- father Fred Maley. Survived by her brother Verne Dale of Waterloo, and niece Virginia Miller (Robert) of Strathroy, Ontario; predeceased by her niece Sharon Lane (Gary of Courtenay, B. C.). Also survived by four great-nieces and great-nephew. Evelyn spent her early career in business, most notably as assistant Secretary-Treasurer of Consolidated West Petroleum, following which she completed her B.A. at the University of Toronto (1968) and taught commerce, latterly with the Dufferin District High School Board at Shelburne (1971 - 1979). Evelyn pursued many and varied interests during her long life. Evelyn was among the first to ski at Collingwood, soloed for her pilot's license in 1941, designed and made many of her clothes, gardened in the English style and loved to take her business students to annual corporate meetings. Evelyn was a renaissance woman. Upon the instructions of the deceased, no funeral will be held. Cremation and burial have taken place.
