THOMAS, Douglas Pritchard
(1928-2012) – On Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at home amongst his family. Doug was a lover of life and will be deeply missed by Lois, his wife of 56 years, his children Katie (Dave), Jane (Elden), Sally (John), Peter and Jennifer (John), his grandchildren Tamara, Adam, Michael, James, Patrick, Evan & Fiona, his sisters Irma (Ralph) and Gwen (John) and his devoted dogs William and Edward. He lived a life of many accomplishments including Managing Partner of AMI Partners, President of the Federation of Ontario Naturalists and member of the Economic Council of Canada. Doug was an avid gardener and a passionate lover of nature - donations in his name can be made to The Bruce Trail Association, The Long Point Bird Observatory, or to the environmental cause of your choice. A private family service will be held in December.
