MARY ELISABETH MONTGOMERY

Mary Montgomery of Calgary passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the age of 80 years.
Mary will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. Throughout her life, she made it her utmost priority to care for people: as a nurse, mother, wife and friend. She would go to great lengths to speak with almost anyone and took a genuine interest in people's lives. Most of her life was spent living between Calgary and Toronto. Mary lived a full life, however, health issues began to take their toll over the past eighteen months. Mary passed away peacefully on Unit 93 in the Rocky View General Hospital. Special thanks to the medical and nursing staff of Unit 93 and Royal Park Retirement Residence.
Mary is survived by a daughter Jennifer de Haas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dr. William (Vim) de Haas and Ian and Sylvia de Haas; six grandchildren, Thomas, Eric, Stuart, Mercedes, Brianna, and Jacqueline. She is also survived by a brother and sister, Donald and Molly Montgomery, Jane and Trevor Eyton all of Toronto and their families. Mary was predeceased by her parents Richard and Margaret Montgomery.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB), on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. A private Memorial Service will be held in Toronto at a later date. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
