MARY H. MARTIN
Born in Toronto on December 9, 1922 and died November 10, 2012 peacefully and with dignity at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre. Her parents were William Howard Martin and Viola Maud (Hooper). Predeceased, to her regret, by her siblings Grace, Jean and Bob with whose families she was very close throughout her life. Mary was a well-respected physiotherapist dedicated to her profession. She served in the Navy, the Arthritis Society, the Workers' Compensation Board, and the Government of Ontario, and assumed many roles on both national and provincial professional associations and the provincial governing body for physiotherapists. She was a lifelong learner with a brilliant and intuitive mind, committed to her many friends, family and humanity in general. On-line condolences and memories may be sent to www.morleybedford.ca. A get-together to celebrate Mary's life will take place at the First Unitarian Church of Toronto, 175 St. Clair Ave. W., Toronto on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 2 p.m. If desired, donations to the First Unitarian Congregation of Toronto or the Unitarian Service Committee of Canada would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
