Peacefully at Baycrest with his family by his side on Thursday, November 8, 2012. Much loved husband for 52 years of Judi (nee Wilson). Cherished father and father-in-law to Lionel F (Joannie Dea), Duff (Yasmin Shaker), Bryce (Trish Magwood). Adored Poppy to Chas, Chloë, Jasper, Findlay, Olivia, Charlotte and Audrey. Brother of Connie, Deanne, David and Brian. He was an admired Uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a hero, inspiration and mentor to many friends, young and old. A private family service will take place to be followed by a celebration of Lionel's life in LAIDLAW HALL at UPPER CANADA COLLEGE on Saturday, December 8 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made in Lionel's name to Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation, The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, Baycrest Foundation or The National Ballet of Canada.
