In his 90th year of Guelph, Ontario, died peacefully and surrounded by his family on Saturday November 3, 2012 at The Village of Riverside Glen. Patrick was the beloved husband of Marcia (Malone) Morris who celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary October 29, 2012. He was born April 24, 1923 in Peel Township the cherished son of the late Edward & Mae (Jordan) Morris. He was the loving father of Edward (Liz) of London; Anne (Robb Atkinson); Brian (Norina); Frank (Paula Carere); Theresa (Tom Jefferson); Dennis (Donna); Kathy (Bob Bruder); Patrick (Barb); Mike (Barb) and John (Maggie) and loved father-in-law of Teresa and Cynthia all of Guelph and very dear grandfather of 31 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was the dear brother of James (Maisie) of Guelph and Helma (Wilfred Mayne) of Elmira and brother-in-law Margaret Morris of Fergus: Mary Lou Armstrong of Kitchener; Gladys O'Dwyer (late Peter) of Mount Forest; Edward Hale (late Eileen) of Harriston and Ken Malone of Ottawa. Predeceased by siblings Edmund; Kevin (Valerie); Carbury; Mary and Jordan. Many nieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews survive Uncle Patrick. Patrick was a well-respected lawyer. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1949. He practised law briefly in St. Catharines; Fergus and Kitchener before moving to Guelph in 1954 when he joined John McElderry under the firm name of McElderry and Morris. Over the years the firm grew and after 57 years of practising law, Patrick retired in 2007. Throughout his career, Patrick demonstrated honesty; integrity and wisdom. He touched many lives with his kindness and generosity. He will be deeply missed by all those who were associated with him. Resting at the GILBERT MacINTYRE and SON FUNERAL HOME, HART CHAPEL, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph (Tuesday 7-9pm and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm) Funeral on Thursday morning, November 8th, to Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma Street, Guelph, for Funeral Mass at 10:00 o'clock. Interment Marymount Cemetery. Vigil for Patrick on Wednesday evening at 8:00 o'clock.
