LUDWIG, Dr. Bernard

Peacefully on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Mount Sinai Hospital, in his 90th year surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Margaret Florence-Ludwig. Devoted father and father-in-law of Caren and Ryan Shoychet, Samuel and Katherine Ludwig, Florence and Mark Gwartz, and John and Marsha Ludwig. Dedicated brother and brother-in-law of Beverley and the late Sidney Borins. Loving grandfather to Danielle, Jake, Claudia, Charles, Barnett, Sofia, Harry, Steven, Brianne, Jay, Benjamin, Ray, and Louis. Special thanks to his caregivers Emma, Nelly, and Guadaloupe, and to the Mt. Sinai Nursing Staff. Dr. Bernard Ludwig was a very well known and admired Obstetrician/Gynaecologist at Mount Sinai Hospital for over 50 years. During his career he delivered over 20,000 babies, giving personal and undivided attention to each of his patients. His wisdom, expertise, and compassion will never be forgotten by all those he touched. Services were held at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Interment at Shedlover Synagogue Section of Dawes Road Cemetery. Shiva until Sunday evening at 25 Gardiner Road.
