Katherine (''Kit'') Jones
1944 - 2012
Passed away peacefully among her loved ones on September 6, 2012 at Toronto General Hospital. She was 68 years old. Beloved wife of Roland Jones (deceased). Loving mother of son Courtland and stepson Warren along with grandchildren Jacob, Jayden and newborn Jorel. Kit dedicated her life to the healthcare profession, primarily within the Greater Toronto Area. She retired from the School of Nursing at Ryerson University where she was a member of faculty for more than 32 years. Kit also worked at a variety of hospitals along with caregiving agencies through the course of her career which she loved so dearly. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the ICU who cared for her most recently at TGH. Donations in Kit's honour may be made to the Registered Nurses Foundation of Ontario (www.rnfoo.org). Kit will be remembered at her happiest, healthiest, best and brightest. Her family and friends take comfort that she is feeling no more pain and is now at peace.
