Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in Niagara Falls on Saturday August 18, 2012 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of 37 years to Mary (Knowlton) Matthews. Dearly loved father of Linda McKaig, Paul (Trudy), Patricia (Brian) Marchese, Joan (Ray) Crown, Mary Wilkes, Tim (Judy), Joe (Annalea) , Brian (Debbie), Tom (Linda) and Margaret. Lovingly remembered by his 27 grandchildren, 3 great- grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Dear father-in-law of Judy and Susan Matthews. Dear brother-in-law of Gerry (Sheila) Malcolmson, Adele (Hugh) O'Connell, Mary Matthews, Shirley Matthews and Audrey Malcolmson. Predeceased by his first wife Shirley Ellen Malcolmson, infant twins Gertrude and Christopher, daughter Maureen and her husband Paul Bator and son Michael Matthews. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church.
