KEEVIL, Catherine Elizabeth (nee Taylor)


Peacefully and surrounded by her family at her home in Orillia, on Thursday, August 16, 2012, in her 67th year. Survived by her only daughter Cory Hoch (Terry) of Orillia and her 3 grandchidren; Dexter, Quintin and Amber. Reunited only 12 short years ago with her daughter, Cathie nurtured a solid, loving and supportive relationship. Cathie moved to Orillia in 2007 from Vancouver to be closer to her new found family. We are eternally grateful that Cathie was open and brave enough to enter into these new relationships. Beloved sister of Tom Taylor (Bonny) and dear aunt to Kevin Taylor and Susan Taylor (Terry) all from Moose Jaw, Sask., also aunt to nephew Brian Taylor (Vaughn) from Edmonton, AB. Great aunt to 4 grand nephews; Dylan, Gabriel, Griffin, Keaton and 1 great grand niece Kylee. Predeceased by her parents Tom Hammond and Ruth Taylor. Lovingly remembered by her cousins Jim Haines (Anne), Jean Haines, also by long time friend Wendell Roy. Cathie loved art in all forms, she was passionate about design and architecture and she loved all animals. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the doctor's and staff at Princess Margaret Hospital and Lodge, Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital and the nurses and PSW's that helped support Cathie's wish to remain at home.
