PARKER, Marguerite Beatrice (Hurtubise)
Our loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on August 18th, 2012 in her 99th year. Mourning her death are her two sons and their families: Richard (Patricia) and their children Megan, Jeffrey and Alyson Robertson (Duncan) and their children Kaiya and Crew, and Gregory (Deborah) and children Meredith, Michael
(June) and Gillian. She was the third of six children born to Ernest and Flore Hurtubise in North Bay and later moved to Welland where she met and married her husband of 55 years, Harold Parker, who passed away in 1996. She was predeceased by her sisters Pauline Wilson and Simone Cullen, and brothers Dorval, Lens and Francis Hurtubise. Marguerite graduated from Nursing School in North Bay and later headed the Admissions Department at Port Colborne General Hospital. She had widely travelled but loved to return home to entertain family and friends. The many stories of her well-lived life will linger in our precious memories of her. Our family expresses our heartfelt thanks to close friend Marj McAvoy and the wonderful staff at Portal Village. Cremation has taken place. Prayers and a celebration of her life will take place at the Davidson Funeral Home, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne, on Tuesday, August 21 at 11:00 a.m.
