CHERRY EVELYN PATON
(nee Mackenzie)

September 15, 1921 – August 15, 2012
Peacefully on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, in Toronto, one month short of her ninety-first birthday.
Beloved wife of Kenneth (deceased 2009). Survived by her sister, Pat Stone of Huntsville. Devoted mother to Diane (Ivan), Andrew (Jill) and Christopher (Honor). Cherished ''Gram'' to Richard, Christopher (Karen), Victoria (Denis), Drew (Meghan), Tim, Mark (Dana) and Scott, and to her great- grandchildren, Matthew, Wyatt, Johnathon, Mackenzie, Nicholas, William, Carson and Griffin. Cherry was a long time volunteer at the Toronto General Hospital and deservedly proud of her many years of devoted service. She had her own way and opinions and was not shy about expressing them. The family will forever cherish the many fond memories of the time spent at Balsam Lake and the Farm in the Hockley Valley. The family wishes to thank Cheryle and Bill Heeney, Wayne Townsend and the Rev. Darrell Wright for their many years of love and kindness to both Cherry and Ken. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W. (2 stoplights west of Yonge Street), Toronto, on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 2 p.m., followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke's Anglican Church, 508551 Highway 89, Rosemont, ON LON 1RO or The Dufferin County Museum, 906029 Airport Road, Mulmur, ON, LON 1RO, or the charity of your choice.
