COOK, Robert 'Barry'
August 25, 1939 - August 14, 2012 Robert ''Barry'' Cook passed away at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre from Lymphoma. Barry is survived by his wife Suzanne, daughters Lisa (Darryl) and Lori (Jaimie), grandchildren Martin, Claire, Colin, and Wyatt, sister Margaret and brother Bruce. He was born and grew up in New Liskeard, Ontario. Barry married Suzanne Helen Cook (nee Ulmann), in 1964. He attended Queen's University for his Bachelor and Master's degrees in Geological Engineering. Barry's passion for geology saw him pursuing a career in exploration with Cominco Ltd., based in Canada, South Africa, and Belgium and most recently he had been working with RPA. Barry and Suzanne travelled whenever they could. He enjoyed time with his four grandchildren and two Boston Terriers and listening to music, particularly classical and opera. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 12:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24.
