ANDREWS, Donna-Jeanne Louise
May 16, 1918 - August 6, 2012
Passed away peacefully in her 95th year at Parkwood Hospital, London. Donna-Jeanne was born in Caistorville, the daughter of the late Rev. Gordon and Nettie Raymer. Beloved wife of William Andrews (deceased) and sister of Helen McCrady (deceased). Much loved by her son, Douglas (Pauline Chung) and daughter, Barbara (Bill Roberts), she will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Robert and Emily Andrews, and by her niece, Diane (Brian Wastle), and by Lois McCrady, wife of her nephew, Gordon (deceased), and their families. Donna-Jeanne graduated from the University of Western Ontario (Honours Biology) in 1939, winning a Gold Medal. She married Bill in 1942 and in spite of their many moves over the years, Donna- Jeanne made lifelong friends wherever she went. She loved curling and had many fond memories of good times and the friends she made at St. George's in Toronto. She also loved swimming, summers at the family cottage in Wasaga Beach and driving her convertible, top-down with her daughter for company. She was a member of Senior Alumni at Western as well as their University Women's Club. She enjoyed bridge club gatherings with her friends and outings to the Grand Theatre and to the Stratford Festival. She was a member of the congregation of First-St. Andrew's United Church. She had an enquiring mind, enjoyed reading and had a good sense of humour. She always took an interest in meeting new people and had a knack for making everyone feel welcome. She had exemplary moral standards, was generous yet frugal, and sought harmonious conflict- resolution. She will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at First-St. Andrew's United Church in London on September 5th at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice or perform a random act of kindness to honour Donna-Jeanne's memory. Expressions of sympathy and donations may be made through London Cremation Services (519) 672-0459 or online at www.londoncremation.com. Yea though she walks through
the shadow of the valley of death,
she shall fear no evil
