RECHNITZER, Eric Northey
On Saturday, August 4th at the age of 68 after a brave battle with cancer. Eric leaves his loving wife, Ewa , sisters Marta (Frank) and Karen, daughters Erica and Dana and step- children Emal and Kelly. Son of the late Einar V. Rechnitzer and Marjorie Patricia Northey. Eric's career took him to London, Montreal and Toronto however he was happiest at Lake Simcoe where he spent many summers at Shanty Bay and then at his home in Hawkstone. Eric was a committed volunteer and Past President of the Oro District Lions club. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, August 9th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 28 Church Street in Shanty Bay.
