COOPER, Irving

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Baycrest Hospital, Palliative Care on Saturday, July 28th, 2012. Loving husband of Verna Wagman Cooper and the late Helen Cooper. Loving and proud father of Michael and Bonnie Cooper, and Judi and Aron Kohn. Proud Zaidie of Miranda and Rodney (Vancouver), Matthew and Tammy, Jamie and Simona, Elise and Justin (London, England), Erin and Jamie, Ryan and Julie, and Mandy and Jacob. He will be sadly missed by his 14 great- grandchildren, Maya, Sam, Jacob, Jordyn, Noah, Marley, Ethan, Darren, Zachary, Eden, Max, Benjamin, Brielle, and Brayden, along with his sister Hilda Mandel and sister-in-law Ruth Cooper. Irving was deeply honoured by the love and support he received from his nieces and nephews, his cousins, his extended family, Lezlie, Candace and Warren Wagman, his friends, as well as the Schwarz brothers and staff at Cooper's Iron and Metal, his caregivers Shirley and Angie and all the wonderful staff at Baycrest Hospital, 6th floor Palliative. A special thanks to Dr. Ian Tannock and Anna Ward and to Wendy Corber for her assistance, and to Dr. Helen Senderovich for her compassion and care of Irving during his stay at Baycrest. A generous family man and good friend to so many, Irving will be missed by all who knew him, leaving us all with the memory of his smile and eternal optimism. Summarizing his own life 'I am so blessed and thankful'. At Beth Tzedec Congregation, 1700 Bathurst St. (south of Eglinton) for service on Monday, July 30th at 2:00pm.
